Here are some basic first date rules that all daters should abide by.
We’ve all heard the warnings and they’re pretty much true - for the most part.
Here’s are a few never do on a first date rules and suggestions:
- Never meet at a quiet remote destination.
- Never meet at a place where it’s so formal and stuffy, you cannot be yourself.
- Never have the other person pick you up.
- Never give out your address!
- Never introduce your first date to your family.
- Never bring your first date to a family function.
- Never bring your first date to a work function or event.
- Never allow your first date to pay for everything - they will assume you owe them.
- Never do a dinner or something that requires you stay for a long period of time.
- Never go hiking! You don’t know this person even if you exchange a few emails and phone conversations.
- Never go anywhere where you depend on that person to take you home or get you out of there.
- Never agree to sleep over ever if you go for a coffee afterward.
- Never ever ever ever assume your first date is the same charming person they were over email and on the phone.
- Never make any assumptions and just try to go with the flow.
